Supergesto, the historic magazine of Pontifical Mission Works in Spain today digitized, is now presented as an application for mobile devices with information, calls, anecdotes and meditations on the mission to nationsaimed especially at young people.
The person responsible for launching this initiative is the director of Supergesto, Pablo de Mergelina, a young man who has lived several missionary experiences in Ethiopia and Albania with the Missionaries of Charity together with his girlfriend with whom he plans, after getting married, to go as missionary family to Tanzania.

The objective of launching this initiative, explains Mergelina, is for young people interested in the life of missionaries and in being part of this evangelizing task “to take another step. Don’t let them stay on the couch with their cell phone,” according to a statement from OMP.
The man who will be his successor at the head of Supergesto, Carlos de Arteaga, points out that “surely there are a lot of young people who have not considered in their lives that they can go on a mission, and perhaps the Lord is calling them.”
For this reason, the application has precise information about events related to the mission in each diocese, as well as the presence of groups, movements and ecclesial realities in them.
The Supergesto application is free and available on the usual platforms Apple Store y Google Play and, in the opinion of its promoters, it responds to the request made by Pope Francis to the directors of the PMS of the world, during a recent meeting in the Vatican: “Let us not allow ourselves to be robbed of our missionary creative freedom!”
Those in charge of presenting the new tool for promoting the mission ad gentes among young people have been the digital content creators Carlos Taracena and Carlota Valenzuela.
