As explained by the parish priest P. David Calahorra, “the Pastoral Council has promoted throughout the parish to start making a continuous worship in response to the statement of the Holy See by the cardinals asking for prayer for these days of the conclave.”
Thus, the collaboration of the faithful was requested through the social networks of the parish through a form “so that everyone can register”, details in a note distributed by the diocese.
The initiative was also announced in each of the masses held in this temple “to reach the maximum number of people participating in the life and the parish groups.”
“The Pope is not someone who will choose in Rome and who has nothing to do with us”
Since last Sunday, the Blessed Sacrament has remained exposed and are tens the faithful that accompany him during the day and night, while imploring the state of grace for the cardinals who have to choose the new Pope.
“The most beautiful thing is to see a united community praying for the Pope and see that they feel it as their own, who live it as something of their own. The Pope is not someone who will choose in Rome and that has nothing to do with us. The conclave is not something that we are spectators simply and without more, but has to do with us,” the presbyter emphasizes.
“We are Church and we want to participate with our prayer, as we have asked for it, to make us present through our prayer in the Sistine Chapel as the people of God attached to our cardinals,” says the pastor.
