In a recent radio interview on Cadena COPEproperty of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, the Bishop of Almería, Mons. Antonio Gómez Cantero, recalled an occasion in which he blessed two homosexual people inside the Basilica del Pilar, in Zaragoza.
Bishop Gómez recalled the moment when explaining, when asked about the statement Begging for confidence, about blessings to people in an irregular situation and same-sex couples. In this regard, he assured: “You have to read the entire document” because, he added, “it is very precise.”
In his response, the prelate indicated: “The truth is that I have already blessed quite a few people like this,” although, he clarified, “not in a ritual.”
