A 17-year-old soccer player from Club Atlético Miter was found dead in his uncle’s house, this Friday, in Santiago del Estero. Is about Ilan Yian González, one of the promises of the squad, which alternated matches in the Reserve and First Division in the local league. According to media from that province, the young man committed suicide.
Given the shocking news, the club issued a statement on social networks to tell what happened and express condolences to family and friends of the boy who worked as a forward.
“With deep pain and sadness we regret to report the death of footballer Yan González, a player who was currently part of our First Division and Reserve squad in the competition organized by the Santiagueña Football League,” it was announced from the institution’s Facebook account. And it was completed: “We send our condolences to his family and friends for this irreparable loss“.
The footballer’s girlfriend, from her Instagram account, also expressed her dismay. “Today, July 26, I say goodbye with the greatest pain in the world to the man I loved the most, to this beautiful black man with whom I had plans for a future, companion of madness, father of our beautiful BB (sic),” wrote Ana Sandez
And he continued: “My beautiful angel, those beautiful memories that we had will always be in me, that beautiful smile that drove me crazy, I love you forever. I will always have you marked in my soul, heart and body. I will never love someone like I loved you and I love you”.
During Friday night and early Saturday morning, messages of affection for the player also arrived on his personal Instagram account.
“I’m going to miss you and need you so much black 😢 Give strength to your family and your brothers from the club as you told them. You take a part of my heart with you,” wrote a user named Carla Romero.
“Wherever you are, dear Ilan, I accompany you and hug you tightly. Sorry for not helping you 😢”, added a person identified as Guadalupe.
In the context of his death, those close to him indicated that González stood out for his scoring ability and his talent on the field, which made him a key figure for his team and a hope for the future of Club Atlético Miter.
