The firm launched a team made up of around thirty professionals with diverse professional profiles whose work was expected to last one year, so the results were expected to be delivered in March 2023. This period was extended until June 2023.
In September 2023, the professional firm informed the Permanent Commission of the EEC that the final text would be ready in the coming weeks. In a public appearance on September 28, the spokesperson, Mons. Francisco César García Magán, made evident the episcopal disappointment at not receiving the report: “We the Bishops do not like the delay and the office assures that it is not due to us, but that there is a complexity, a depth to the work.”
On October 11, through the official information portal of the EEC, Ecclesia, it was learned that the bishops gave a 10-day ultimatum to the office to deliver the work. Cremades & Calvo Sotelo then stated that this limit would not be met, which confirmed the tense relationship between both entities.
