“It is a joy to return after ten years to my Alma Mater, the glorious San José school. A joy also meet with former teachers, some classroom classmates, very happy, very happy,” said Fr. Rimaycuna.

Rimaycuna presided over a mass on August 10, also in Chiclayo, in which he handed the diocese a papal miter that presented León XIV, as well as an economic donation to build a chapel; And where he stressed that Catholics must pray for the Pope because, if he is Peter in the Church, “the demon will not be calm.”

Leo XIV was Apostolic Administrator and Bishop of Chiclayo between 2014 and 2023, the year in which Pope Francis appointed him prefect of the Dicasterio for the bishops in the Vatican.
