The Salesian priest Miguel Ángel Cano, 52, died in a traffic accident in Managua (Nicaragua) this Thursday, January 2.

“We join in prayer for the death of our brother Father Miguel Cano, SDB, product of a car accident this morning, January 2, 2025.

The Archdiocese of Managua He also published a note of mourning, stating that “His Eminence Cardinal Leopoldo José Brenes, Metropolitan Archbishop of Managua and the Archdiocesan Clergy regret the sensitive death of Fr. Miguel Ángel Cano, SDB. Salesian Priest who was Parish Priest of the San Juan Bosco Parish in Managua.”

Father Cano, born on May 22, 1972, was also director of the Don Bosco youth center in Managua.
