The saint, naturalized as an American in 1909, dedicated her life to serving those most in need and, together with her sisters, managed to expand the Institute throughout the United States and to some countries in South America and Europe. Mother Cabrini died in 1917 and was canonized on July 7, 1946 by Pope Pius XII.
“Francesca Cabrini is one of the most inspiring and influential figures in modern history, and yet few know her story,” said Liz Ellis, COO of Angel Studios.
“Faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles in life, Cabrini chose to focus on how she could change the the status quo of his time, and his impact on the world is still felt today,” Ellis added.
