The spokesperson for the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE), Mons. Francisco César García Magán, has defended the right of the faithful to pray in the street in reference to the call that has been maintained for almost 50 days to join a Rosary for the unity of Spain.
In an interview granted to the agency Europa Press “One not only has the right to pray here, at home or in the Church, but, of course, peacefully and without attacking anyone and without anyone attacking you, you also have the right to pray in the public square, with respect for administrative regulations.
This call has taken place in the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception in Madrid since last November 12 and joins from faith to the citizen protests against the Government that have taken place since the 3rd of the same month at the doors of the national headquarters of Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE), a few meters from the temple.
