Rosario World Women in Peru: Lima, Arequipa and Piura join in public prayer this October

This Saturday, October 4, a new edition of the World Women’s Rosary In three regions of Peru: Lima, Arequipa and Piura, thus adding to the international prayer movement that is already present in 44 countries.

In Arequipa, the appointment will be at 10:30 am (local time) in San Francisco Square.

In Lima, the match will take place in Kennedy Park at 5:00 pm, followed by a Holy Mass in the Miraculous Medal Parish, where there will also be priests available for confessions.

In Piura, the prayer of the Rosary is scheduled for Saturday, October 11 at 5:00 pm in the Plaza de Armas, with the support of the Apostolate of the Rosary with a family and the Queen of Peace Rosary Movement.

The World World Rosary began in Peru on December 8, 2022, and since then seeks to promote the public prayer of the Holy Rosary as a testimony of faith and confidence in the intercession of the Virgin Mary.

In statements to ACI Press, Esther Gómez, one of the organizers of the Peruvian edition, highlighted the importance of going to prayer in the current social context: “In these complicated times, especially for our country, with civil manifestations and protests, it is necessary to go to our mother so that with its protective mantle we take care of and ask God for our homeland. Let us not let the enemy win.”

The organizer stressed that the female participation in this movement not only strengthens the faith of the communities, but also helps to bring hope amid the difficult situation that the country is going through.
