The spiritual exercises of the Roman curia, which begin this Sunday, March 9 at 5:00 p.m. (local time) in the Classroom Paul VI and will run until Friday, March 14, have caused a change in the organization of the Rosary prayer for the health of Pope Francis.
This prayer, which is celebrated in the Plaza de San Pedro every night at 9:00 p.m. (local time) from February 24, ten days after its hospitalization in the Gemelli of Rome, it will undergo modifications in its schedule and location.

As reported by the press office of the Holy See in a statement, as of Monday, March 10, the Community Prayer, directed every day by a different cardinal, will be advanced and will take place at the end of the eve and the meditation of 17:00 (local time).
In addition, the place where it takes place will also change: instead of the Plaza de San Pedro, it will be held in the classroom Paul VI, where the preacher of the Pontifical House, Roberto Pasolini, Capuchino Fraile and 53 -year -old Biblist, will direct for the first time the Spiritual Exercises of Lent without the presence of Pope Francis, who continues hospitalized.
Despite its absence, the retirement will be held in “spiritual communion” with him, as confirmed by the Holy See.

“According to tradition, this moment of recollection and prayer represents a time of silence and discernment for the collaborators of the Holy Father, who will meet in a spirit of reflection and listen to the Word of God, while praying for their health,” explained the Vatican.
In this way, the faithful who wish to participate in this prayer for the prompt recovery of the Holy Father can follow it live through the screens installed in the Plaza de San Pedro or through the media of the Vatican.
It is expected that on Friday, March 14, at the end of the withdrawal of the Cardinals of the Curia, the prayer of the Rosary will resume “in a renewed way, while still being a sign of faith and ecclesial communion,” said the Vatican.
This Sunday at 9:00 p.m. (local time) Portuguese Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, will direct the prayer of the Rosary.
