Pope Francis then indicated to the participants of the congress that “Jesus asked Saint Margaret Mary for acts of reparation for the offenses caused by the sins of men. If these acts have comforted his heart, this means that reparation can also comfort the heart of every wounded person.”
“May the work of your congress be able to renew and deepen the meaning of this beautiful practice of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a practice that today may be somewhat forgotten or mistakenly considered obsolete. And they can also contribute to assessing the place that corresponds to them in the penitential path of each baptized in the Church,” he expressed.
“I pray that your Jubilee of the Sacred Heart inspires in many pilgrims a greater love of gratitude towards Jesus, a greater affection; and because the sanctuary of Paray-le-Monial will always be a place of consolation and mercy for every person seeking inner peace. I give you my Blessing. And I ask you, please, pray for me. Thank you!” concluded the Pope.
