Formula 1 prepares to face the final stretch of the competition. So far, Max Verstappen and Red Bull have managed to maintain a certain distance from their main competitors, although the latest performances by McLaren and Mercedes put their chances of winning the championship again. In fact, these two teams won the last four races.
Lewis Hamilton is going through a great moment since his transfer to Ferrari was confirmed for the 2025 season. In fact, with his victory at the historic Silverstone circuit he became the first driver to achieve nine victories on the same track.
In advance of the restart of the competition, the pilot referred to the long time he went without victories: “It has mainly been a battle of the mind. Staying sane, trying to acquire new tools. Ultimately, it is always about persistence and dedication. Hard work always pays off. I think I learned that life is really about how much pain you can experience and move on, and how much you can suffer and keep moving forward, you know? Hamilton’s victory in the last race did not translate into major changes in the drivers’ standings: Verstappen remains the sole leader with 277 points, and is followed by Lando Norris (199), Chales Leclerc (177) and Carlos Sainz (167). A little further away is Piastri (162), while the seven-time F1 champion continues to add victories and points and reached 150 points.
However, the fight in the constructors’ table is going through one of the moments of greatest parity in recent months: the irregularity of Red Bull (408) and the good results that McLaren (366) and Ferrari (345) have been achieving allowed them to shorten distance and leave the fight open for the last stretch of the season.
Meanwhile, before the start of the second part of the 2024 Formula 1 season, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) confirmed changes to its regulations: it was decided to implement a new rule to sanction those who speak against it publicly.
The announcement was made by the president of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who said that The punishment will also be extended to “anyone who criticizes the sports stewards.”
“As part of our ongoing fight against online abuse, recent research has shown that there is a direct relationship between negative comments made by drivers and team members and the increase in hatred towards officers on social media,” Ben Sulayem wrote in your Instagram account.
“Our stewards must be prepared to stand firm in tackling this form of abuse, and they have the full support of me, and our International Sporting Code, in making their decisions. I urge them to show that the FIA will not tolerate any form of abuse in our sport,” he added.

The traditional race will be held on Sunday, August 25, starting at 10. The Formula 1 season can be followed through the category’s own platform (F1 TV Pro), with the contracting of the package of all competitions, in addition to training and qualifying tests.
