The Holy Father will leave Rome on Monday, September 2 at 5:15 p.m. (local time) for Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

After a long journey, it is scheduled to land on Tuesday the 3rd at Jakarta International Airport “Soekarno-Hatta” at 11:30 am.

At 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday the 4th, the welcome ceremony will take place outside the Presidential Palace “Istana Merdeka”. Later, he will pay a courtesy visit to President Joko Widodo.

The second stop on the longest trip of his Pontificate will be in Papua Guinea. The Holy Father will arrive at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, September 6, in Port Moresby, capital of Papua Guinea, where there will be a welcome ceremony.
