The Association of Large Families of Madrid (Spain) has launched a multi-channel advertising campaign to promote birth and discard the typical excuses for postponing parenthood: “Some things, if postponed, are lost forever,” they warn.
The campaign launched under the slogan Are you running out of rice? It intends to “subvert the confusion in the decision to start a family and have children and convince that there are decisions that, if delayed over time, are lost,” according to a statement.

The expression “you’re out of date” is used to indicate that human fertility has a biological expiration date.
The initiative, present in the Community of Madrid, also aims to question “what reasons may be leading them to close themselves off from the possibility of forming a family.”
This is particularly reflected in the video that can be accessed through a QR code on the posters or directly on YouTube, where they confront the most common excuses used to postpone parenthood with the statement “they are stealing it from you.”
These false arguments in the opinion of the Association of Large Families are: “First you have to establish your professional career”, “I need an economic cushion”, “children for later when it is time to travel”, “first you have to buy a house” , “it is impossible to reconcile family and work”, “children spend too much”, “in a few years you will be more prepared” and “it is a task that surpasses you”.
On the other hand, “the video also puts its finger on issues such as lack of commitment”, which is justified with excuses “that only manage to postpone decisions that are lost forever, such as having children,” they point out in the release.
