Mons. Fernando Ocáriz, Prelate of Opus Dei, requested prayers for the study of the new statutes of “the work” – as their members call this Catholic institution – and pointed out that this work could conclude “within this year.”
“Let’s continue praying a lot for the study on the statutes of the work. Although the term and ultimate result of this work does not depend on us but on the Holy See, it seems predictable that its conclusion be reached within this year, ”said the prelate of Opus Dei in his January 25 message.

In his message of this month, the Prelate also stressed that “it also opens this year with the perspective of the Ordinary General Congress of the work, which will take place between the end of April and early in May.”
“In addition to deepening the proposal of modifications of the statutes, it will also be an occasion to study the conclusions of the Regional Assemblies, which have taken place in all the territorial constituencies of the work. It is hopeful to check the desires of fidelity and apostolate found in those conclusions, ”he adds.
Mons. Ocáriz encouraged to pray for the Pope and by the places in war such as Earth Holy, Ukraine, so that “the grace of the Jubilee Year leads to all humanity to pass through the Holy Gate, which is Christ. He is our peace and our hope. ”
