On the occasion of the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to be celebrated this Friday, June 7, we share with you a prayer so that you can consecrate your family to the Most Holy Hearts of the Lord Jesus and the Virgin Mary.
In June 1675, through a series of revelations, Jesus asked Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque that “on the first Friday after the octave of the Corpus Christi A special party is celebrated to honor my Heart.”

Furthermore, Jesus asked him “to take communion on that day to ask for forgiveness and to make reparation for the insults received by Him during the time He remained exposed on the altars.”
In her writings, Saint Margaret left us a series of teachings of Christ, such as that “only the humble heart can enter the Sacred Heart of Jesus, converse with Him, love Him and be loved by Him.”
Likewise, the Lord asked Saint Margaret of Alacoque to proclaim to the world the 12 promises that he would grant to the devotees who consecrate themselves to her Sacred Heart. Among them, Christ promised to bring peace to families and assist each of his children in life and death.
For this reason, many Catholics usually go to their parishes in order to prepare themselves spiritually so that, when the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus arrives, they consecrate their families to the Hearts of Jesus and his Mother.
On this special date, which as Saint John Paul II highlighted “remembers the mystery of the Love that God harbors for men of all times,” consecrate your family to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary with this prayer.
Prayer of consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary
Most Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
united in perfect love,
how you look at us with mercy and affection,
we consecrate our hearts,
our lives and our families to You.
We know that the beautiful example
of your home in Nazareth was a model
for each of our families.
We hope to obtain, with your help,
union and strong and lasting love
that you told them.
May our home be full of joy.
May sincere affection, patience, tolerance
and mutual respect are freely given to all.
May our prayers
include the needs of others,
not just ours.
And that we are always close to the sacraments.
Bless all present
and also to those absent,
both the deceased and the living;
May peace be with us,
and when we are tested,
grant Christian resignation
to the will of God.
Keep our families close
of your Hearts;
that your protection
special always be with us.
