The consumption of pornography, warns the Together for Life Institute (JUVID), leads to “the worst thing that can happen to a person: it destroys their ability to love.” A new edition of its successful course “LIBÉRATE” seeks to help you leave that vice behind.
In a statement shared with ACI Prensa, JUVID, which has been working since 2011 to promote the dignity of life and the human person, warns that “pornography is, more than ever, within the reach of a click for anyone, regardless of age.” , sex or geographic location.”

After lamenting the exponential growth of pornography consumption through different platforms, including popular social networks, JUVID specifies that this vice “generates a negative impact on all dimensions of the person.”
“It affects you physically, becoming a drug and generating the same effect as any other drug on the brain and body. It affects you psychologically since it distorts your vision of sexuality. It affects them emotionally, as it destroys people’s ability to establish healthy emotional bonds,” he points out.
“And it affects spiritually because it breaks our friendship with God, reducing sexuality to the satisfaction of a carnal impulse, ignoring the call to transcendence that it has in God’s plan, where one becomes one flesh with the other. ”, he adds.
Given this panorama, he indicates, “more and more people are battling this vice and cannot find the tools to get out of it,” and there are cases “of adolescents, children, people who have been, not only for years, but decades immersed in this evil.” ”.
To address this problem, JUVID will launch on January 21 a new edition of its “LIBÉRATE” course, which is now five years old, and which estimates that it has helped more than 750 people from 18 countries. According to the institute, among the people who have participated there are people addicted to pornography as well as parents, psychologists, priests and pastoral leaders who seek to help their families and communities.
The course lasts six weeks, and includes the participation of psychologists and various professionals who are experts in the fight against pornography.
