During the private audience with the pontiff, they offered him as a gift a miniature model of a Maserati vehicle, symbol of the Legacy of Italian design and engineering.
The press office of the Holy See has not issued an official statement on the meeting and has not confirmed it either. In any case, in the publication of Iervolino on social networks, which is accompanied by a photo of the meeting, Al Pacino already smiling with the Pope is seen, holding the small replica of the car.
In a press release broadcast on social networks, Iervolino declared: “We are honored to announce that this morning Pope Leo XIV received in private audience at the Holy See to a delegation of the Maserati film.”
He also said that the encounter “was a moment of deep spiritual and cultural inspiration, focused on the shared values that constitute the core of both the Catholic Church and the film: family unity, love, compassion and the importance of contributing to the common good.”
