“The labor incorporation of people with disabilities is promoted in a spirit of reception and, when necessary, with the adoption of appropriate and specific measures, since Disability condition does not exclude suitability for work in the recipient entities of these standards ”.

Likewise, in article 14 of the General Regulation of the Roman Curia, the expression “State of good health duly accredited” is replaced by the expression “Psychophysical aptitude for the functions that must be performed, certified by the Directorate of Health and Hygiene of the State of the city of the Vatican.”

Thus, article 14 of said regulation is written as follows:

Ҥ 1. The officers will be chosen among those who are distinguished by their virtue, prudence, science and due experience, and that meet the following requirements:

1) If they are clergy or members of institutes of consecrated life or of Apostolic Life Societies:

a) have an age not less than 25 years and not exceeding 45;

b) Authorization of the respective ordinary or superior and the competent dicasteries and, if they reside in Rome, also of the Vicariate of Rome;

c) Psychophysics for the functions they must performcertified by the Directorate of Health and Hygiene of the State of the city of the Vatican;

d) Aptitude for the work they must do;

2) If they are lay:

a) age not less than 21 years and not exceeding 35;

b) Unlimited license for those who are subject to military service;

c) Psychophysical aptitude for the tasks they must perform, certified by the Directorate of Health and Health of the State of the Vatican City;

d) suitability for the work to be done;

e) absence of criminal records that make the unworthy worker or not worth providing service;

f) Religious, moral and civil commitment, certified, as a rule, by the corresponding pastor ”.

These modifications are contained in a Copy of the audience released this Saturday.

A document of this type is a decision or resolution of the Pope issued orally during an audience with an authority of the Roman curia, in this case Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Vatican, who put it in writing and signed it.
