Pope Leo XIV received this Saturday the workers of the Vatican and the officials of the Roman curia, whom he encouraged to continue contributing to the mission of the Church and to overcome “the inevitable misunderstandings” that occur in labor environments.
In his greeting, the Holy Father thanked officials and workers for helping to guard the memory of the Church and contribute to his mission of tending bridges for dialogue and welcoming anyone who needs love.

“We must all cooperate in the great cause of unity and love, let’s try to do it first of all with our behavior in everyday situations, also starting with the work environment,” he said.
Leo XIV said that “each person can be a unit builder with his attitude towards colleagues, overcoming the inevitable misunderstandings, humility, putting himself in the place of the other, avoiding prejudices and also with a good dose of humor, as Pope Francis taught us.”
The Pope made this invitation after remembering his missionary experiences, especially in Peru, and his passage through the curia as a prefect of dicastery for bishops.
“The call to serve the Church here in the Roman curia was a new mission, which I shared with you during these last two years. And I still continue it and I will continue it, while God wants, in this service that has been entrusted to me,” he said.
