“The caress and the smile” is the name of the event that will take place next Saturday, April 27 in the Paul VI Hall of the Vatican in which elderly people, grandparents and grandchildren from Italy will meet Pope Francis.
A total of six thousand grandparents along with their grandchildren will arrive in less than a week at the Vatican to hold a special meeting with the Holy Father, a beautiful initiative presented at the Press Office of the Holy See this April 22.
Mons. Vincenzo Paglia, Prefect of the Academy for Life, recalled that Italy is the second country with the most elderly people in the world and that, for the first time in history, four generations live together there. “It had never happened before,” he highlighted.
