The Vatican has confirmed what will be the longest Apostolic Journey of Pope Francis’ Pontificate: from September 2 to 13, he will visit four countries in Asia and Oceania.
In a statement released this Friday, April 12, the Press Office of the Holy See reported that the Holy Father will visit the capitals Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore for 11 days upon returning from the summer.
Specifically, he will travel to Jakarta (capital of Indonesia) from September 3 to 6; to Port Moresby (capital of Papua Guinea) and Vanimo (capital of Sandaun province, in northwestern Papua New Guinea) from the 6th to the 9th; Dili (capital of East Timor) from the 9th to the 11th; and the city of Singapore from September 11 to 13.
