This morning Pope Francis received the Archbishop of Seville (Spain), Mons. José Ángel Saiz Meneses, and 40 of his seminarians at the Vatican, urging them to be pastors “according to the heart of Christ.”
“I am happy to receive the communities of the Metropolitan Seminary and the ‘Redemptoris Mater’ Seminary of Seville who, together with their archbishop, have come on a pilgrimage to the tomb of the Apostle Peter,” he said. On April 20at the beginning of the audience held in the Clementine Room of the Apostolic Palace.
In his speech, the Pontiff recalled the call of the Good Shepherd, saying: “Our meeting is at the threshold of a very significant day: Good Shepherd Sunday, which we celebrate tomorrow. “You, seminarians, have received a call from the Lord, and with the help of your formators you are preparing to be pastors according to the Heart of Christ.”
