He invited them to do so “with their eyes turned to the Crucifix and their arms open towards the least, the little ones, the poor and the sick, to care for, educate and serve our brothers and sisters with joy and simplicity.”
When “the road becomes difficult,” Pope Francis encouraged them to look at Christ Crucified, and also “at the eyes and wounds of the poor.”
“And you will see that little by little the answers will make their way into your hearts with greater and greater clarity,” he stated.
