In this regard, Pope Francis adds that “In the fabric of humanity there are different cultures, traditions, spiritualities and languages that must be protected, because their loss would constitute for all of us an impoverishment of knowledge, identity and memory.”
The Pontiff also advocates that investments “be increasingly oriented towards the promotion of human fraternity, justice and peace.” This objective, he emphasizes, “requires a conversion, an alternative vision to the one that today pushes the world down the path of growing conflict.”
“In the dialogue between indigenous knowledge and science, we must be clear and always keep in mind that all this knowledge must be used to learn to overcome conflicts in a non-violent way and to counteract poverty and new forms of slavery,” continues the Pontiff.
