At the end of the General Audience this Wednesday, Pope Francis recalled the drama of wars and turned his gaze to the prisoners, many of them tortured.
Visibly moved, the Holy Father recalled the suffering experienced in war zones, especially in the Holy Land and in the “martyred Ukraine.”
As on previous occasions, the Pontiff urged that the prisoners be released and regretted that many of them are tortured.
