This January 19, Pope Francis received the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro Urrego, in a private audience at the Vatican, with whom he spoke about efforts to achieve peace in the country.
The audience between Pope Francis and President Gustavo Petro took place this morning in the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican and lasted about half an hour.
Subsequently, the Colombian president held a meeting with Bishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.
