The Press Office of the Holy See reported this morning that Pope Francis has received the “General Moderator of Opus Dei”, Mons. Fernando de Ocáriz, accompanied by Mons. Mariano Fazio, auxiliary vicar of the Prelature.
The name “General Moderator” has been used since the last motu proprio of Pope Francis regarding Opus Dei and is used interchangeably with the traditional name of Prelate, as explained to ACI Prensa by Clara Fontan, from the Opus Dei Communications Office in Rome.

As reported by the Prelature through from your website, “during the audience, the Prelate informed the Pontiff about the work being carried out with the Dicastery of the Clergy for the adaptation of the statutes, underlining the family atmosphere and open dialogue in which these tasks are carried out.
