The second vice president of the Government of Spain and leader of the Sumar communist coalition, Yolanda Díaz, announced this Monday that next Friday, February 2, she will be received by Pope Francis for the second time.
During a television interview held on Antena 3, the communist leader assured that she maintains “a magnificent relationship with Pope Francis.” Furthermore, she has pointed out that she agrees with the Pontiff “especially in his interpretation of the climate emergency or, for example, his interpretation of peace in the world, or also the defense of the right to decent work”, as collected Europa Press.
The first time the Pope granted an audience to Yolanda Díaz was in December 2021, six months after, following a remodeling of the Executive led by the socialist Pedro Sánchez, she was appointed second vice president.
