He stressed that “the recent initiative of annually organizing reciprocal study visits for young priests and monks deserves to be continued,” while recalling that “four delegations of young Eastern Orthodox priests and monks have already come to Rome to get to know the Catholic Church better, at the invitation of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Christian Unity, to which I thank.”
“Involving young people in the rapprochement of our Churches is a sign of the Spirit, which rejuvenates the Church in harmony, inspires paths of communion, gives wisdom to new generations and prophecy to the elderly,” he noted.
The Holy Father urged that this “dialogue of life continue in the sign of the Spirit,” at the same time that he asked not to forget “harmony is produced by the Holy Spirit.”
