This Thursday, April 4, the Press Office of the Holy See released the telegram of condolences written by Pope Francis and signed by the Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, for the victims of the earthquake in Taiwan (China).
Specifically, the telegram is addressed to Bishop John Baptist Lee Keh-mean, president of the Chinese Regional Conference of Bishops of Taiwan.
In the letter, the Holy Father expresses his “deep sadness” for the loss of life and damage caused by the earthquake in Taiwan. Likewise, he assures his spiritual closeness and solidarity with all those affected.
