During his audience with a group of Anglicans in the Vatican, Pope Francis stated that “the role of the Bishop of Rome continues to be a controversial and divisive issue among Christians” and therefore he assured to pray that the Synod of Synodality helps a greater understanding of their role.
Pope Francis urges us to “walk together”
This Thursday, May 2, Pope Francis received the participants in the Assembly of Primates of the Anglican Communion at the Vatican, to whom he stressed that “the Lord calls each of us to be builders of unity.”
Likewise, he pointed out that “although we are not yet one, our imperfect communion should not prevent us from walking together.”
