Thus, he continues, “the Lord has always given himself to us, taking our mud, our sin, our inconstancy in his hands,” in such a way that he does so “in the midst of his People,” which is why the Pope calls not avoiding “the blind, those who lie by the wayside, those who are covered with leprosy or misery.”
At this point, the Pope responds by offering two other keys that answer the question of “how and when?” God gives himself to his people. “Always and totally,” the Pontiff emphasizes, in such a way that “God sets no limits: a thousand times we sin, a thousand times he forgives us.”
“He waits in the silent solitude of the Tabernacle for us to return to him begging for our love,” details the Pope.
