Francis indicated that “prayer, listening to the Word, and the sacraments” help in this objective.
“Here is a good purpose for Lent: to cultivate open views, to become ‘seekers of light’, seekers of the light of Jesus in prayer and in people,” he stated.
Finally, the Holy Father encouraged the faithful to ask themselves: “As I walk, do I keep my gaze fixed on Christ who accompanies me? And in doing so, do I leave space for silence, prayer, worship? Lastly, do I look for every little ray of light from Jesus, reflected in me and in every brother and sister I meet? And do I remember to thank you?”
