The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, has sent on behalf of Pope Francis a telegram of condolences for the victims of the attacks perpetrated in Iran last Thursday, January 4, which claimed the lives of 95 people.
In the message, it is stated that the Pope “has received with deep sadness the news of the loss of life caused by the recent explosions in Kerman and sends the testimony of his prayers for those who have died and for their grieving families.”
“Likewise, expressing his spiritual solidarity with the wounded, His Holiness invokes upon all the people of Iran the blessings of wisdom and peace from the Almighty,” the short text concludes.
