“We have chosen this date because it is Mexico’s Independence Day, so our first episode is dedicated to Blessed Anacleto, who has much to teach us today,” José Manuel de Urquidi, founder of Juan Diego Network, told ACI Press.

Urquidi explained that September was also chosen because “it is a month full of independence celebrations throughout Latin America, so it seemed the perfect time to tell the history of blessed and venerable of our continent.”

Production combines music, effects and narration in the style of a research case, bringing the life of future saints in a novel way. “Because of the way we carry out the storytelling, as a case of research, for its duration and high quality, it will undoubtedly be of great interest,” said Urquidi.

Each episode is presented as the opening of a “file” where the facts with testimonies and historical evidence are reconstructed.

The official description of the project indicates that in the “archives of the faith of Latin America and the Caribbean there are cases that deserve to be counted: heroic lives that expect to be discovered.” Each episode is “a deep immersion” that allows the listener to discover “the trail of their holiness: everyday heroism, unwavering faith in the face of persecution and love taken to the last consequences.”

The next episodes will include the stories of Laura Vicuña, Fr. Rutilio Grande, Sr. María Romero Meneses, Fr. Rafael García Herreros and Ceferino Namuncurá, among others.

“This podcast is an invitation to spread its devotion and to ask for its intercession so that, with the help of God, we soon have more saints in our continent,” says production.
