The Prelature of Yauyos in Peru reported the death of Father Nilton Pachas Zavala, Parish Vicar of San Antonio de Padua, in a traffic accident on the Panamericana Sur highway on Friday, January 3.
“We join the painful feelings of his family and offer prayers and suffrages to God the Father for his eternal rest,” indicates a statement from the Communication Office of the Prelature of Yauyos.

According RPPthe National Police of Peru reported that the accident occurred at kilometer 133 of the Panamericana Sur, in the province of Cañete, Lima region, when the vehicle in which the priest was traveling lost its way and fell into a ditch. Some people tried to rescue Father Pachas but they could not open the car doors.
The funeral mass It will be celebrated at 12 in the San Antonio de Padua parish and will be presided over by Mons. Ricardo García, Prelate Bishop of Yauyos. Afterwards, the remains of Father Pachas will be transferred to the crypt of the Mother of Beautiful Love Sanctuary in San Vicente de Cañete, where he will be buried.
