As a second point, Schialer said that the Peruvian president asked Leo XIV “to continue with the discrete efforts made by the Catholic Church in Peru to tend and propose a dialogue between political, social forces, in the country, with a vision of brotherhood, with a vision of camaraderie, a vision of unity.”

According to the Peruvian Foreign Minister, “this is planned to be around October 5 to 10.”
