Father Carlos López, director of the choir, told ACI Prensa that this presentation arose from the initiative of Father Carlos Rossell, parish priest of the sanctuary, and has generated great enthusiasm in the children between 5 and 11 years old: “We have I’ve been rehearsing a lot with them. I know that it is a very important sanctuary and there is a lot of expectation on the part of the parishioner and the choir.”
“We are not only dedicated to singing but we want both children and their families to get closer to God. The children, being acolytes, participate in the Mass, in the liturgy, in catechesis and the parents also participate in family catechesis,” adds the priest.
The priest emphasizes that the first mission of this ministry “is to evangelize, and then comes singing, which is more than anything a resource to bring people closer to God.”
