Fr. Etienne Kern, rector of the sanctuary of Paray Le Monial, where the Sacred Heart to Santa Margarita María de Alacoque was revealed, highlighted the strength of this devotion in Spain and its sister nations, also following the revelations to the Jesuit Bernardo de Hoyos.
“From this experience they were the Jesuits of Spain who spread throughout Spain and America this devotion with a force perhaps that does not exist in other countries,” said Fr. Kern, who stressed the great reception that the encyclical dilexit of Pope Francis on the heart of Jesus has had in the country, rather than in his French homeland.
