One million rosaries for Colombia returns to consecrate the country to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

On July 20, Independence Day, Colombia will live a new chapter of a crusade of prayer that summons thousands inside and outside the country: the prayer of the Holy Rosary within the framework of the campaign “One million rosaries for Colombia. One voice”.

The day, which will begin at 3:00 pm (local time) and will be broadcast live by YouTubeits main purpose is to ask for the peace of the country and consecrate the nation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

“After a first day full of faith and unity, we raise our hearts again for our homeland. This July 20, Independence Day, we join again to consecrate Colombia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,” says the official call released through social networks and Catholic media.

The Crusade, which had its first edition on June 28, brought together thousands of faithful from various regions of the country and the world. From the San Pedro Apostle parish of the Archdiocese of Bogotá – the meeting of the call – to homes and communities in the United States, Spain, Chile, Canada, Switzerland, Venezuela and even Japan, the faithful joined in prayer.

Promoted by Fr. Daniel Bustamante Goyeneche, pastor of the San Pedro Apóstol Church, the initiative has the support of Mater Fatima Colombia and numerous Catholic and lay movements.

“United in one voice, millions wield the rosary: the weapon of love, faith and peace … Pray from your home, your parish or in community,” he urges the message spread by the organizers.

In addition, the initiative foresees new meeting dates around the Rosary, including a day on August 7 – it is that the battle of Boyacá is commemorated – and other meetings every first Saturday of the month, in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
