Secondly, one must attend sacramental Confession, receive Communion and pray for the Pope’s intentions. These conditions can be met a few days before or after carrying out the work that grants the indulgence, but it is suggested that Communion and prayer be carried out on the same day that the work is carried out.
It is important to highlight that through a single Confession several indulgences can be obtained, although frequency in the Sacrament of Reconciliation is recommended to deepen conversion and purity of heart.
Regarding the Eucharistic Communion and the prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father, it must be taken into account that with a single Communion and a single prayer, performed on the same day, a plenary indulgence is obtained.
Finally, the condition of praying for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff is fulfilled by praying an Our Father and a Hail Mary. However, each Christian is given the power to use any other formula according to his piety and devotion.
