The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has invited the faithful across the country to participate in the annual “9 Days for Life” novena, whose primary intent is to end abortion and protect human life.
This ninth (available in spanish), which involves praying for various intentions for nine consecutive days, will begin on Tuesday, January 16 and is part of the commemoration of the Annual Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Childrenwhich is celebrated on January 22.
Promoted by the USCCB Pro-Life Activities Committee, the novena began in 2013, commemorating the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wadethe Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion throughout the United States.
