Domingo Savio is the patron saint of singing children and also of pregnant women, for having fulfilled a mission of the Virgin Mary in his life.
He was born in San Giovanni da Riva, in Piedmont, Italy, in 1842. From a very young age he felt called to the priesthood and, as soon as he met Don Bosco, he asked him to enter the Oratory of Saint Francis de Sales in Turin. There he organized the Company of Mary Immaculate.
Together with his companions he attended the sacraments, prayed the Rosary, helped with household chores and took care of the most difficult children. Furthermore, he always maintained a happy spirit. He liked to play and study.
