Every June 29, the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Saint Paul, who died as martyrs bearing witness to the love of Christ.
This celebration remembers that Saint Peter was chosen by Christ: “You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church”, who humbly accepted the mission of being “the rock” of the Church.

Likewise, Saint Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles, is commemorated, who before his conversion was a persecutor of Christians and went on, with his life, to be an ardent evangelizer for all Catholics, without reservations in announcing the Gospel.
