The researcher and lawyer Martha Patricia Molina denounced that the Nicaraguan dictatorship kidnapped the priest Ezequiel Buenfil Batún, rector and superior of the San Juan Neumann convent in Chinandega.
“What I know is that the police kidnapped him. I was informed on Monday (January 15), I don’t know if they already expelled him. Until today, they have not told me if they have already sent him to any border to expel him,” the author of the report indicated on January 17. Nicaragua: A persecuted Church? in statements to the Nicaraguan newspaper The Press.
In dialogue with ACI Prensa this January 18, Molina stated: “I have been informed that he is already outside Nicaragua.”
