“We are proud of them and we will always be with them with our prayers until we achieve their freedom and that of all political prisoners,” he assured.
Whoever worships God “shall not worship idols of death”
Addressing all Catholics in Nicaragua, Bishop Báez pointed out that “our parishes and communities must also be strong in the Lord at this time, put their trust in Him, redouble their prayer for imprisoned bishops and priests, offer the Rosary to the Immaculate Conception, pray the rosary of mercy, practice the exorcism of Saint Michael and above all participate with devotion in the Eucharist whenever possible.”
“In a special way, I recommend that everyone, priests and lay people, dedicate time to adoration in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Worshiping on our knees before Jesus will make us not kneel, He will give us strength not to kneel before any powerful person in this world. “Whoever worships God in prayer, in life he will not worship the idols of death that want to subdue us.”
