The next National Eucharistic Congress of the United States will be held in 2029, confirmed CNA – an English agency of Ewtn News – on February 7.
“The National Eucharistic Congress, Inc. is pleased to share that we have started the initial steps in the preparation for the 11th National Eucharistic Congress, in 2029,” said Jason Shanks, executive director of the National Eucharistic Congress, in an email to CNA.

“We hope to meet as a American church to celebrate our shared Eucharistic faith.”
The next edition of the National Eucharistic Congress had been tentatively announced last year by 2033, the “Year of Redemption” that marks the 2,000 years since the Crucifixion of Jesus.
The location of the main Catholic event has not been shared, and Shanks said the organizers will provide “more details about the 11th National Eucharistic Congress in the future”.
Information about the date was first reported by The Pillar on Friday.
The National Eucharistic Congress of last July, the first event of this type that took place on American soil since World War II, attracted tens of thousands of people for several mass sessions of Eucharistic worship in Lucas Oil Stadium of Indianapolis, Numerous talks and workshops related to the Catholic faith and a Eucharistic procession of 60,000 participants in the center of Indianapolis.
Shanks said they are “anxious to take advantage of the grace we received during our meeting in Indianapolis last summer.”
“We recognize that the success of the previous Congress can be attributed to the innumerable people who prayed and interceded for the event. Therefore, we invite the Church to join us in prayer not only for the planning of this future congress, but so that we can continue walking together during This year of missionary shipping”.
The Congress of 2024 was an important part of the National Eucharistic Revivalan ongoing initiative of the bishops of the United States that calls Catholics to share their love renewed by the Eucharist, the body and blood of Jesus.
