Volkswagen presented the renewal of the T-Crossthe compact SUV that shortly after its launch, in 2019, became one of the benchmarks in the segment, taking away the limelight from the Ford EcoSport.
The new Volkswagen T-Cross arrives from Brazil (it is produced at the São José dos Pinhais plant) with external and internal aesthetic touches and quality and equipment improvements.
The range is made up of four versionswith different equipment levels and the same turbocharged engines that equipped the previous model.
Prices start from $ 29.746.000which makes it one of the models more expensive of its category not counting the new Peugeot 2008, which with one month to go before its launch can now be reserved.
As part of its launch, Volkswagen reports that the first 500 buyers of the new T-Cross will have the first three discounted services. Users will also be able to purchase a maintenance contract to freeze the price of services up to the seventh, purchasable and usable at any dealer in the country.
What’s new
At first glance you can see the new front and rear bumpers, new LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights and a redesign of the rear lights with an integrated LED light strip (both standard).
The interior, for its part, offers a change of look and improvements to the finishes and materials. The central panel has a new semi-floating screen with “VW Play” with standard wireless connection for cell phones and wireless charger depending on the version. It also includes new upholstery with updated materials and designs.
As we said, the range is made up of four equipment versions: Comfortline, Trendline, Highline and Highline Bitone.
The basic variant (Trendline) is equipped with the 1.0 turbo engine (170 TSI) that now delivers 101 HP (6 horses more than its predecessor) and is accompanied by the classic 5-speed manual gearbox.
Its equipment, compared to its predecessor, adds cruise control, tire pressure indicator, rear parking sensor, an 8″ digital dashboard, leather-covered multifunction steering wheel, central screen with “VW Play” and alloy wheels 16 inches.
For its part, the version Comfortline It is distinguished by having the 1.0 turbo 116 HP (200 TSI) engine combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and adding 17-inch wheels, disc brakes on all 4 wheels and a keyless entry & button start opening system. Go.”
In terms of comfort, it is equipped with eco-leather upholstery, center armrest, 8” digital dashboard, wireless charger, automatic climate control and parking sensor with rear view camera.
The version Highline has silver roof bars and radiator protection grilles. In addition, it is equipped with a panoramic sunroof and various driving assistance systems such as autonomous parking (“Park Assist”), blind spot detector and active lane maintenance.
